About Me

‘Bringing World Flavours into your Dining Room; sharing my Home-made Vegan Recipes’

After living & working in the UK for most of our lives, my husband & I decided to give up our jobs in the summer of 2013 & see a bit of the world. We spent 4 years travelling extensively in Central America, Asia & Europe enjoying an abundance of new foods along the way.

Then we decided to spend time in Spain, in Andalucia, on the border of Almeria/Murcia, interspersed with some shorter travelling experiences.

After reading ‘How Not to Die’ by Dr Michael Greger in 2016 & then researching more by watching the variety of educational animal ‘industry’ & vegan ‘blockbuster’ videos; our lives changed.

I also studied Vegan Nutrition, to ensure I have sufficient knowledge to keep healthy nutritionally balanced meals on our table. I include these principles in the recipes I design.

In winter 2019/2020 the world of course, became a different place. We’d just returned from Thailand & 12 days later, Spain put it’s inhabitants into a strict house confinement for 49 days …… That’s when my passion for cooking & experimenting with recipes was ignited!

In December 2021, we moved to the Granada Province & an outstanding stretch of coastline known as the Costa Tropical. Because of a microclimate caused by the Sierra Nevada Mountains, an amazing selection of Tropical Fruit grows here, which never ceases to amaze me. I love to use locally grown produce in my dishes.

So that’s me in a nutshell. My food passions are:

💕 I love to veganise the Classics, plus cook dishes from around the world.

Spring Vegetable Quiche

💕 I believe in buying local & in season, wherever possible; so most of my ingredients are grown locally here on the Costa Tropical.

💕No fancy expensive ingredients here; just nutritious, budget friendly recipes.

Home-made Tofurkey & Roasted Veggies Salad
Vegan ‘Paella’

💕 Plus Some local Spanish cuisine & a dash of creativity here & there.

Watermelon, Cucumber & ‘Feta’ Cube
